Joanna McCreadie is the Chief Executive of Seamab, a unique charitable organisation that provides care and education for vulnerable children. She leads a multi-disciplinary team, working to deliver services which place children at the heart of everything they do. Joanna’s role includes working directly with the Seamab Board of Trustees, strategic and operational development, quality improvement, developing practice models, finance and fundraising.
Working as a practitioner, inspector and senior manager, Joanna has specialised in work with children and young people who have experienced significant trauma. She worked on inspections of children’s services, including child protection, and was a contributing author of a number of national reports.
Joanna is particularly interested in leadership of children’s services that positively influence children’s experiences and longer term outcomes.
Having studied for a degree at the University of Sussex, Joanna then moved to social work, completing professional qualifications and an MSc. Joanna lives with her partner and children and their collection of pets.
