Finance for Non-Finance Professionals: Community Leaders

Community Leaders are often required to have basic finance skills, but in particular ensuring appropriate records are maintained and all assets and transactions are secure. This is not only to safeguard the group, but also to safeguard the Community Leaders. Existing or future funders of projects will require evidence of transactions and assets. Therefore, good processes, records and controls will make this much easier. This webinar, hosted by Joanne Jones, Director of Finance and Resources at the Wales Cooperative Centre, will provide some finance knowledge to assist with:

  • Understanding income and expenditure
  • Common funder requirements
  • Control and security of assets and cash
  • Understanding financial statements

The session is for grassroots and community leaders at all levels who are involved with a charity, community trust or CIC based and/or operating in Wales. Please feel free to share this link with a colleague you think will benefit from the session.
