We are pleased to announce the Garfield Weston Foundation is set to continue its partnership with Clore Social, supporting a further five individuals from North East based social sector organisations to undertake our 2019 Experienced Leader Programme. Over the past 5 years the foundation has supported more than 20 leaders from the region.

The programme, a curated 12-month leadership development journey aims to develop empowered, resilient, and generous leaders, while strengthening collaboration within the sector. The programme provides access to world-class leadership experts and offers opportunities to learn together with a peer group of other experienced leaders who will support, challenge, and inspire.

Shaks Ghosh Chief Executive of Clore Social said: “We are delighted to be working with Garfield Weston to raise the standard of leadership across the North East, equipping senior sector leaders and CEOs with the right skills and capabilities to lead effectively and collaborate to deliver lasting impact.”

Commenting on the announcement, Philippa Charles, Director of Garfield Weston said: “We know that strong, collaborative leadership leads to better led social sector organisations. By investing in and supporting our current and future leaders, we are building a future where organisations across the North East are better equipped able to serve the needs of their beneficiaries.”

According to a recent mid-year survey, 2018 Experienced Leader participants have found the programme to be inspiring, thought-provoking, and challenging. All respondents said they would recommend the programme to a friend or colleague and 8 out of 10 agree that they are already better leaders as a result of the programme.

Applications for this programme are now open and will close on Monday 5th of November.
