Leading the Movement: Women, Power, Change 2019

We have joined forces with The Social Change Agency to deliver an ambitious all-day conference which will bring together senior and emerging feminist leaders, new allies, and leading figures in the women’s movement.

Our goal is to develop a common vision for the future of the feminist movement. We aim to create a safe space of mutual respect and solidarity, where everyone can engage in the debates our movement needs to address. As well as networking with like-minded women and cultivating new partnerships, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about lobbying, communication strategy, narrative change, movement building, and more.

With an inspiring range of speakers and facilitators lined up for the day, the agenda will include workshops and participatory discussions covering everything from leadership development to intersectionality and power analysis.

The event is part of Clore Social Leadership’s Women and Girls Leadership Programme generously supported by our funders Rosa, The UK Fund for Women and Girls, The Pilgrim Trust, Comic Relief, Baljeet Sandhu (awardee of the 2017 DvF International Award) and Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

Leading the Movement: Women, Power, and Change promises to be a strong step towards building a movement that offers hope to all women and girls, and the courage and power to challenge the status quo.

The event will take place on Monday, 28 January 2019 at The Foundry in Vauxhall, 17 Oval Way, SE11 5RR, London. For more information about the location, click here. The day will start at 9:30am sharp, with registration and tea available from 9am.

If you are joining us for the informal meet-up on Sunday, 27 January, you can find us at The Social Change Agency, The ARK, 237 Pentonville Road, N1 9NG.
