We are delighted to announce the Re-Imaging Health: Social Prescribing Leadership Programme 2021 has reached full capacity with 20 social sector leaders seeking
to develop their leadership skills, build a sustainable network of peers, and improve social prescribing.
The Social Prescribing Leadership Programme is a fully funded online leadership programme designed in Partnership with the NHS Leadership
for Personalised Care Team.
By establishing communicative and collaborative networks of GPs, link workers and social sector leaders, the programme aims to strengthen cross-sector collaborations and develop a shared understanding of the roles
of the NHS, social sector and local authorities.
The programme will run for six months between March and September 2021 and is structured to work around existing leadership commitments, providing a blended approach which allows for self-directed
learning, while offering the opportunity to work together with a group of peers who will support, challenge and inspire each other.
The cohorts all have three to six years’ experience in their sector providing a space to explore lived experience,
identity, power and privilege and how these intersect with healthcare work.
Dan Lyus, Partnerships Director at SW AHSN and a Clore Social Fellow, said:
"This programme is a fantastic opportunity to acquire the skills needed to make a tangible difference to the way social prescribing programmes operate.
“Social prescribing is all about building relationships and collaboration and the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the vital role it plays in communities up and down the country. By enrolling on this programme, you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of how effective social prescribing systems work in practice and how they benefit the most disadvantaged people in society.
"Clore Social Leadership’s experts will also help you gain the attributes you need to manage situations, influence individuals and organisations, and effect system-wide change."
Guy Boersma, Managing Director of KSS AHSN, said:
"We’re delighted to be working with Clore Social Leadership and our South West AHSN partners to deliver this learning programme.
“Aside from developing resilient leaders capable of developing effective social prescribing models, this programme will help create and strengthen networks across the sector and make it easier to share best practice and knowledge."
The cohort consists of leaders working across a variety of UK social sector organisations, including:
