Programme information

Leadership Lighthouses is a series of  fully funded, leadership development programmes that unite social purpose leaders from Global Majority backgrounds. Designed as an experience that truly sees and honours the realities, collective wisdom, and transformative leadership already alive in our communities and across the sector, it equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and networks to excel further.

Spanning four years and 10 regional locations, the series will start in January 2026 with programmes in Bradford and Oxfordshire. Additional dates and locations will be announced soon.

Through tools like the Lumina Spark personality profile, peer learning, a leadership retreat and a range of themed workshops; participants will deepen their self-awareness, grow their strategic capability, and connect with a community of leaders who share their experiences. Leadership Lighthouses is about building clarity and community - enabling leaders not just to navigate change, but to shape it.

To learn more about the programme, sign up here to join us for a virtual information session on Wednesday 8 October  or Wednesday 26 November 2025, from 11:00 to 11:45am. And you can register your interest to receive updates on the programmes and future locations.

We are proud to be partnering with a steering group, safeguarding lead, locally connected facilitators, and independent evaluators to deliver this series of programmes. The partners reflect the diversity and reach of the local sector - indicative of the impact we want the programmes to achieve. The steering group's role is to help shape the programme to make it as relevant and impactful for the social sector in each regional location. We are actively working with two programme facilitators who are highly experienced and respected leadership experts and facilitators, from Global Majority backgrounds.

Steering group: Reem Assil
Reem is a leadership development facilitator, consultant, and certified transformational coach, working at the intersection of equity, justice, and collective care. She co-founded Makani Cambridge CIC, which advances community-centred change through cultural activities, co-design, consultancy, and participatory research. A British Syrian with a career spanning academia, science, and social change, Reem has delivered over 2,000 hours of facilitation globally. Grounded in a collective liberation lineage and informed by somatic, trauma-aware practice, she brings a systems-change lens to organisational development, helping leaders and institutions re-imagine ways of being that nurture healing, awaken possibility, and cultivate authentic, equitable leadership.
Steering group: Malcolm John
Malcolm is the founder of the charity, Board Racial Diversity UK, which aims to address the significant under-representation of individuals from Black and Asian backgrounds on not for profit boards. In that role, he’s developed significant expertise in the need for diverse, inclusive and representative leadership in the charity sector. He brings considerable experience as a trustee/Vice Chair/Chair in nine charitable organisations over more than twenty years, covering a wide range of social justice issues. He is currently a trustee of three charities, including the Association of Chairs, the membership body for charity chairs in England and Wales.
Steering group: Michael Hamilton
Michael Hamilton currently works with The Ubele Initiative, a black led community organisation that works with communities of several levels including training, systems change initiatives, finance and leadership development. With over thirty-five years of experience working for the health and wellbeing of local marginalised communities, Michael Hamilton has worked with young people from ground level to executive directorship.
Safeguarding lead: Michael Daley
Michael Daley is the Founder of Bridging Perspectives Ltd and Safeguarding Lead for Clore Social Leadership Lighthouses programme. With 17 years' experience in safeguarding, an MSC in Social Work and a BSC in Psychology, he specialises in trauma-informed, reflective practice and online safety. Through Bridging Perspectives, Michael supports organisations, communities and carers applying these approaches in practice, building confidence and  capacity to create safer, more inclusive environments. He provides both strategic safeguarding oversight and practical training that bridges the gap between policy and everyday practice.

Facilitator: Jessica Rogers
For more than 15 years, Jessica has coached ambitious, values-driven senior leaders to strengthen their voice, lead with authenticity, and progress in their careers without compromising who they are. Many of the leaders Jessica works with; directors, VPs, chiefs of staff, senior counsel and others care deeply about their teams and the difference they make. Yet they often feel unseen, undervalued, or pressured to fit into leadership models that don't reflect their true selves.

Alongside individual coaching, Jessica collaborates with organisations to strengthen leadership pipelines, build inclusive cultures, and create environments where diverse talent can thrive. Jessica designs tailored programmes and group coaching that sharpens communication, increases influence and equips leaders with practical skills for sustainable impact. Jessica's approach is grounded in more than 2,500 hours of coaching, continuous professional development toward Master Coach Certification (MCC), and a deep belief that leadership without compromise is not only possible but essential.

Independent evaluators: The Social Investment Consultancy
The Social Investment Consultancy will play a crucial role in refining the programme design and enhancing monitoring and evaluation process, ensuring the programme remains accountable and responsive to feedback.
