Environmental Justice and Social Justice

Emerging Leader 2021

5: The WHAT & HOW Wheel

Curated as part of a Clore Social Leadership ‘Challenge Project’ and in association with their leadership development programme, six driven sector leaders explored 'Environmental Justice and Social Justice'.

The WHAT & HOW Wheel

The WHAT & HOW Wheel

/

This wheel makes it accessible and easy for organisations to look at what actions they might take. It is not exhaustive, but each segment introduces a different type of action and is accompanied by corresponding resources which can help.

Examples include:

  • Green your Money: £2 in every £100 held by high street banks is likely lent to fossil fuel companies. Where your money sits has consequences. These curated resources help organisations review their banks, pension funds and investments and find greener alternatives.
  • Make a Statement: Pledge your commitment and join others on the journey. These curated resources offer supportive networks, memberships and communities of like-minded organisations who are walking the walk together.
  • Equip Folk: Organisations can provide and make time for colleagues to take action on an individual level also. These curated resources include evidence-backed steps for people to make their own contribution.

Again, this is a small taste of just some of the actions possible but ones we hope will provoke both thought and action.

We have a vision for both wheels to be interactive, dynamic and co-owned. We invite you to add to the wheels. Add the resources or tips that have helped your organisation take action.
